Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

Tomorrow is already Valentine's day!. The month of February seemed to go by so fast. We do know that February is the month of love and romance. But, does everybody knows why and how come we have Valentine's day?
St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus The most popular martyrology associated with Saint Valentine was that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under Roman Empire; during his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote "from your Valentine" as a farewell to her.Today, Saint Valentine's Day is an official feast day in the Angelican Communion, as well as in the Lutheran Church. The Eastern Orthodox Church also celebrates Saint Valentine's Day, albeit on July 6th and July 30th, the former date in honor of the Roman presbyter St Valentine, and the latter date in honor of Hieromartyr Valentine, the Bishop of Interamna (modern Terni).

The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Caucher in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished flourished. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.
From then on, till this day and to the next generations, Valentine's Day will be forever be celebrated. Valentine's Day should not be for lovers only, also for family and friends whom they share their love with.We can make everyday a Valentine' Day everyday by giving and sharing love to everyone. Just like what we always say during Christmas season, that everyday should be Christmas Day, meaning no hatred, there's forgiveness and care and most of all LOVE.
Enjoy your day tomorrow! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! x0x0!

How do I value my life?

How do I value my life?

What is Life? Life is the greatest gift of God to us. Some people think it's hard to live, some people asks why should they live and others don't want to live. They do not know what they're saying. They do not know that life is the most precious thing from above. A gift given that no one has the right to question Him at all.
If you'll ask me, how do I value my life? So much! I owe this from God and from y parents. Having myself in this world is such an experience that is uncomparable. It's love by the way. I do live in this world by the love of God. Other are tired of living perhaps because of their status in life, problems, and other conflict they meet in their everyday lives. But for me, I just live y life the way it should be, for there is hope as long as I live. I know that Gd make me strong and His love comfort me. And because of God's gracious gift to me, I could say that I do not think of myself highly than I should. Instead, I'll be modest in my thinking, and judge myself according to the amount of faith that God has given me.
So then, because of God's great mercy to me I should give myself as a living sacrifice to God, an I won't give up for having life is great.

"LOVE"

Loving a person

Is quite a poison

It hurts us,

Sometimes makes us cheer up

It always let us down

With all the pains inside

It makes people cry

And sometimes die

It's always a lie

Maybe we can say

Love makes gloom away

It let us feel happy

And a lit bit lonely

Happiness maybe felt in the end

With a love a person should send

We can pretend

That love do not depend

On what we see, touch, and hear

But agrees with what you feel

Love never gives up

It sometimes brings you up

Love never dies

Even if it takes twice

Till then you'll receive happiness in the end

A poem written by yours truly. As far as I recall, I wrote this when I was in my high school days and I can't hardly remember why. Maybe, I've experienced something and what I did is just to put it into writing. :) Just wanted to share this.

Falling in love put people always at risk, experiencing troubles among partners, which you can't handle and look for a better alternative just to forget it, but it is not a hindrance for everybody that even you're heightened with so much difficulties and trapped in a mere situation that you can't escape, still "Love find it's way".

And now that it is the "month of love", feel it, give it and make your loved ones feel that they are loved..LOVE, LOVE, LOVE..... :)

Strengths and Weaknesses

Life has its own intricacies or complexities which make any human being, for that matter hard to understand such entanglements. Thus, every human being has his own strengths and weaknesses, and I am no exception to this.

It is because the foregoing fact that any human being on earth has to discover his own strengths and weaknesses for avoidance of them.

My strengths? After a thorough self-confrontation, I came to realize that that I have my strengths which I should strengthen all the more to reap the so-called personal growth. I have gained strong foundation in the learning process that I am able to comprehend right away any concept being taught. Also, I process the communication skills, listening, reading, writing, and speaking- that lead me to gain insight on the said concepts being learned. I can lead people to follow, to mobilize them into action towards the attainment of of certain goals or objectives. My sources of strengths are my parents who have been exerting efforts to make me a learned woman and an effective leader.

What about weaknesses? I have my weaknesses which I try to avoid so that I can become a total person, so to speak. There are times, when there is anything that do not seem to contribute to the attainment of goals in any action that I undertake. I become impatient, if after many tries or attempts I am not able to produce what is expected. Many times have I almost withdrawn myself from such kind of people, only to realize after that I cannot escape from such people. I easily get irritated if people do not understand what is being told to them or simply can not follow. There is also that negative attitude in me towards unfulfilled tasks of comrades. This lack of initiative makes me disappointed all the more that at times I lose hope in the attainment of my goals. But after a while, I would realize that these weaknesses are just reasons for me to spur on to greater heights thereby sharpening my strengths all the more for greater efforts.

My Benefits of Smoking

We all know that "Smoking" is bad for our health, but why is it others cannot just stop smoking? Each smoker has their own reason on why they can't quit easily.

For me, I call Smoking as my "tense remover", I guess you know what I mean, ahahaha. When I smoke, it really gives me the feeling of "I can do it". I often smoke, it's my first thing in the morning. I smoke after eating, and even when I go to the comfort room coz I cannot do my "thing" there without puffing at least half of the cigar, it helps me to move "it" out easily. I love to smoke whenever I drink a cup of coffee, it gives me the feeling of satisfaction.

But, that doesn't mean that I am ignoring the harm, smoking may cause me and my body, it's just that I cannot give up that easy. Maybe in time, I will try to minimize and to quit smoking gradually as much as I can.

Just a piece of advise, when you want to quit on smoking, take it easy.

Reminder: Smoking is dangerous to your health.
